Dr B

so hate his clinic on Wednesday , Thursday. But he has the best hematology around though. by far.

So there was this 58 year old lady with Diffuse Large B cell Lymphoma, the sad thing was she went through several chemotherapy regimens and was back in clinic with a new relapse. This time she had worsening cervical lymphadenopathy in an already fat neck, so she was getting up at night short of breath. So went in and talked to her, felt that maybe something like CPAP (basically a machine which blows positive pressure in the airways when patients sleep, so that the airway doesnt collapse)would help her sleep.
She would need a sleep study to get one of these gizmos so i suggested that to Dr B.
He looked at me and said 'thats like arranging deck chairs on the titanic'.
funny....
